AIO and SG

I just applied AIO and SG on my silver 4Runner. But I found my bright silver color looks a little bit darker than before. Who knows why? Thanks

I don't know those products, but it could be that they are not optically perfect, so light is not reflected appropriately making it look darker/duller?

or... not sure how old you Runner is, but it could be that the paint had faded some, and the products you used retored the original darker luster.

Just guesses though. ;):

The Zaino I put on my white Runner actually made it brighter white than before.

Thanks Sean.

My 4runner is 2005 SR5 4X4. It's the first time to do detailing on my car. I guess i should do some wax on it.

Hey Lucien, you do not need to apply any wax now that you have used Klasse products on the finish. What you actually applied was an acrylic sealant which is better than 99% of the products on the market. Definately better than ANY product you will find in any retail store. The AIO also functions as a non abrasive polish to remove fine scratches and light swirling/oxidation. I consider Zaino tops but more of a pain to use when compared to Klasse AIO and SG. You may have had oxidation buildup if this was the 1st time you truly detailed it. This will explain the difference in sheen. Rest assured to have the right products!!

Hi Lucien,

No idea why your paint looks darker, but I believe you. I have used other products before that made the paint look darker - off the top of my head, I recall Meguair's show car glaze did this.

AIO and SG are great products in my opinion. I use them myself and have been very happy overall with their results. They last for a very long time, are relatively easy to use, and make paint look fantastic (especially darker colors).

However, in my experience, they are relatively poor in dealing with swirls and scratches. Therefore, if you are going to keep using the Klasse combo, I would advise you to be extra careful about how you wash your truck - clean microfiber towels only, and rinse them before putting them back into the wash bucket. How you dry is also important. Prevent those swirls before they happen, because Klasse will not take them away.

Also, if you have not yet discovered the joys of detailing clay, you should give it a try. It really is not difficult, and the results will amaze you.
