Did a search and could not find anything on a mod for the 4th gen air box that is done on the 3rd gen air box. I did it to my 97. You basically take the bent snorkle like end off. The piece that goes into the fenderwell. It supposedly allows smoother air flow. When I was replacing my air filter today on my 05 V6, it looked somewhat like the 97 but with that big canister thing and then a round tube with a fiber like round filter pad that sticks into the inside fender. Looked restrictive.
Just wondering. I know on yotatech, I believe gadget or someone dyno'd before and after results on the 3rd. Thought maybe someone tried this on the 4th gen. I did see the hydrocarbon filter removal. Many say they saw results. Might try that too.
