Air care question for BC

I am thinking of putting on some headers that delete the cats
on my 2004 T4R

I live in Alberta in the summer and BC in the winter.

The T4R is currently registered in BC in Abbotsford. Am I subject to
aircare?

I have read abouO2 sensor simulaters and scanners etc.
I would prefer headers that delete the cats.

Any replies appreciated

I don't know how O2 sensor simulators work, but this is something to research. The engine computer periodically changes the air/fuel mixture intentionally to see how the cat and the O2 sensors respond. The test is designed to ensure that the cat is working properly, and if the sensors don't respond to the change like they should, the computer throws DTC's P0420 or P0430. So, it's not good enough for the simulator to simply pass the sensor diagnostic test (it's there and the resistance is correct) - it also has to change readings in response to this test.
