air condition will not shut off-

the buttons of my 4 runner limited air conditioner will not shut off- the air stays on, even when I change the temperature to 70 degrees, and its cold outside- any help on the problem is greatly appreciated

Is your defroster on? If so, the a/c will not shut off. Or the other setting that would do this is if it's on auto.
