just wondering ive bought an intake from ebay for a great price... ive had it for a while and its been treating me real well and ive noticed the increase of gas mileage and HP... now i just recently heard of true flow air filter... is it that much better? cuz if it is i was thinking about putting back my old stock intake and just changing the airfilter to true flow

Honestly, If I were you, I would just replace the filter on your intake w/ a K&N. Ebay intakes typically come with cheap cotton filters that don't flow as well as better brands, and also allow more dirt in, which is obviously bad for the engine. Putting a new air filter in your stock airbox will not make much of a difference being that most of the restriction is not due to the stock filter, but rather the design of the airbox. Stick with the aftermarket intake and get a better filter.

Deckplate mod adds 7-8whp and only costs about $15 and a little time and put the deckplate back in for water crossings and underhood inspections are easy since it all appears stock.
