Air Horn

im thinking of putting in airhorns, but i dont know where to start. ive checked google and yahoo but i cant get any reviews. any recommendations? i want it to be really loud.

Here's a link to an article on yotatech for an airhorn install on a 2nd Gen 4R that you can use as reference... If you do the job, document it, take pics and post your writeup. Note on the 4th Gen, the horns are mounted up front behind the grille and are easily accessible when the hood is raised, so this is probably the best location to mount the aftermarket horns too.

thanks. im thinking of picking up some hellas. my friend who works at a car audio shop said theyre pretty loud, and easy to install as wellthe stock horn is loud, but i just want something louder because hawaii drivers tend to merge right into you for some reason. ill def post up the procedure and pics when its done.

Forum Member Jason B has a nifty little personal website that shows some mods one could do to ones car. Air Horns just happen to be one of those. It also mounts differently, looks great too. Check that out, even if its just to contrast the other designs, I don't think anyone can suffer from too much info before modifying a essential system like the horn.
