Air lift install question

All, I'm about to install some airlift suspension on my rig and have a question regarding the airline plumbing. What are the advantages and disadvantages of running the airbags from one inflation point vs two inflation points? This is what I came up with but let e know your thoughts:

1. Running with a tee and one inflation point allows for easier filling and better articulation off-road since the air can move across from one side to the other. Pro
2. If one air bag breaks, both are rendered inoperable if they are plumbed together. Con
3. Plumbing them together raises the rear equally across both sides and plumbing is simplified. Pro

I've seen some users inflate each side slightly differently but I'm not sure I'd ever have a need to do that.

Finally, are there any specific good practices I should follow with these given that I have KDSS?

Thanks in advance for the responses.

I plumbed mine to a single inflation point. The con you listed doesn't really count since if one airbag is out of commission you shouldn't have the other one filled either as it will make for some weird handling.

I haven't had any problems with my setup or wished for individual adjustability since installing them a year ago.

Good luck with the install!

I too am plumbed single, but that's because of AirLift Load Control system.

Don't run them below 5 psi.............ever!

I know they state to not run them below 5 Good Advice!

But- my air line rubbed through sometime last winter and I ran it with no air in there for months, lol.

I reattached the line and all is well. They are pretty tough!

Guess you got lucky, and yes they are tough. Think biggest issue would be bag getting pinched between coils causing a cut. I've run them on several vehicles and never had a failure.

Should have also mentioned, running them over inflated (over 35 psi) is bad too.

I would plumb them with two fills because when taking a corner with a trailer the outside corner will take all the weight and the inside corner will get all the air basically making it useless.

Midwesta makes a great point here. Anybody agree or disagree? Looking to plumb some new airbags and still not sure whether to tee or not to tee...

Antman has a great post up in the sticky notes at the top of the forum page. He added a small compressor that looks really handy. Have a look.

While you are working back there, look at his cup holder mod too.
