Mine has a mind of it's own.
Inconsistantly will be "ON" when I start the vehicle.
I don't think I've ever intentially used it.
Any ideas or quick fix ??
Thanks in advance

Do you use the 'Auto' feature? When I press auto, it sets it such that the recirc is on, then when it deems the vehicle is cooled enough, it automatically pulls in fresh air. At that point, I can toggle the recirc and it'll stay on unless I press one of the hvac controls (other than the temperature adjust, that doesn't toggle it).

not sure if I made much sense, but...there was a thread over a year ago that did talk about this, too...

Yeah.. Do a search, as I know this has been discussed before. It has something to do with the interior vs. exterior temperature and humidity. Or something like that.

I considered disconnecting the button, but have not taken the time to look at the effects.

I believe it's tied to the inside temperature setting and the outside temperature. If it's something like 10 degrees difference, it defaults to recirculate on.

It will also turn on if you turn the 'temp' to lo.

I know just how you feel, seems everytime I look down at that button, that little light has came on...Almost laughing at me.
