Monroe MAX-Air Shock part # MA700 works for the rear of 1995 4Runners. They are a little longer than the stock shocks for the rear. I raised the rear about 2" . The ride is much "firmer" too.
I already installed the Moog coils but wanted a little more lift and support when towing. Now my 4Runner sits a tad bit higher in the back. Looks a lot better.
Stock rear shock specs- (referenced Monroe Reflex shocks)
13.25" comp. 20.875" ext. 7.62" trav.
Upper mount- S4 Lower Mount- L3
Monroe Max-Air specs- 12.75" comp. 21.375 ext. 8.62" trav.
Upper mount- S4 Lower mount- L1/CP3
You will see that the "lower mounts" have different codes. Don't worry. They will slide up on the mounting "pins" with a little grease and a small C-clamp. Use your factory bolt to retain it.
I also used 2 extra washers to space them out a little on the backside.
I am running 70 psi right now.
I'll try to upload some pics to my homepage...
Hope this helps someone with the "sag"
Peace,
Yota Buck
