air valve caps stolen!

So my mom borrowed my truck to go to the mall during the week. Later on I was just visually checking it... when I saw that someone took all 4 air valve caps!!!

Does anyone know where I can buy the original air valve caps cheap?

Well.. They have a problem seizing... (I figure yours did not)..

I had one that required vice grips to take off.

i work at just tires and we have thousands of caps that are mostly universal, if you have a buddy who works at a tire place ask him or go and see, and explan your story, they should give you some or either charge you like $1 for all 4

I think the 4Runner takes special left-handed valve caps.

yeah dude, definitely use s spot of anti-seize compound when you put them on. Otherwise you could have alot of trouble getting them off: it's a common occurance.

The newer 4Runners valve caps are chome colored and almost metal like in feel.

i think they probably didnt seize because I always keep it in the garage.

IMO, rubber might better for someone who curbs their wheels when parking, since it could flex and not break. Other than that, I would say a metals are better. My friend at a tire shop says, all the track guys use metal stems (then again, they're also running 45-50psi).

on average anywhere from 30 - 35 should be fine, intresting note though, land rover discos run 28 in the front tires and 46 in the rears

I can relate with this topic. A couple of days after I purchased my 4R, I noticed a kid kneeling down next to my vehicle on the sidewalk. It looked like he was tying his shoe or whatnot, so I didn't think anything of it. Later, for some reason, checked it out due to that voice inside my head and sure enough the passenger rear was missing. Sure it is $.25 but, I feel violated in a way that you can't have anything nice without having others feel the need to rip you off.

A couple days later, my brother noticed the same kid with 2 of his friends walking around my vehicle and then bent down to take another. He yelled out the window to get away from the vehicle. They took off down the street before they could get another.

I ended up picking a set of spin-caps up (www.spin-caps.com). I think I paid less then $15 about a year or so ago, but they look to be about $20.00 now. They are nice, but a pain when you need to add air, especially in the winter.
