air vent setting - Fresh Air??

Hey guys, this seems like a stupid question...
but I miss the old red and blue settings for my heat/airconditioning...

How do I get outside temp fresh air to blow into the cabin?

Do you just match the outside temp to the cabin, and make sure the recirculate button is off??

If I go too low on the temp setting with the a/c off, it says "LO"...

Any help?

The only way I have found to do it is to set the temp to 'lo', select the desired fan speed and vent position then hit the recirc button.

Yes, recirc 'off' (and of course A/C off). Each time you restart the T4R it will revert to recirc. It's kind of annoying, no doubt.

Phew, first I started to blame my gf, then I thought maybe I was accidentally hitting the button. Wish I could override that stupid feature.

The climate control has a mind of its own and there's no true manual mode. I noticed as long as my set temp is lower than the outside temp, it automatically switches it into recirculating. The auto recirculating is only beneficial if the AC is on. No point in circulating hot cabin air if the AC is off. Toyota engineers missed this one. :bash:

Pretty much anything less than 65* F will result in 'lo'.
