Airbag deactivation question

I used to have a regular cab Taco that I could disable the passenger airbag with the key. I am thinking I would like to have the same for the T4R. I want to put my 2 1/2 year old daughter in the front seat when we go for a woods ride. She is always asking to sit with me. I also have my yellow lab up front with me regularly too. We wouldn't be going that fast, so the airbag may not go off anyway, I would just feel better with it turned off. Has anybody done this mode? Is anyone willing to give up the airbag schematic so I could try it?

1) how fast do you have to be going for the airbag to deploy?
2) If there is no one in the front seat, will the passenger airbag still deploy?

I am thinking if I could fool the SRS into thinking the front seat is empty, then I could accomplish this mod without tapping into SRS wires. Thinking I could just "disconnect" the switch which says the passenger seat is loaded. Any tips on this would be great.

1) Not just a matter of speed, it is FORCE of impact, you could be going 5 MPH and get waffled by another car going faster so that could trigger the SRS to deploy.

2) I do believe that it depends on the year. Most cars nowadays (including my '07 Runnah) have a sensor in the passenger seat which determines if someone is in it. IF not it won't deploy. There ought ot be a light on the dash that says it is armed or not.

Tricking the sensor might be the best way to go. That sounds like a good way to go...

Mine does have a switch in the seat. I can make the light go on with hand pressure while I am driving.
