Airbag Light

When I start my 2003 Sport, the airbag light seems to stay on 15 seconds after all of the other lights on the dash turn off. I realized this yesterday and it happens every time I start. I do not know if this is some sort of warning that there is a problem or does it just take a while to go out? The light does not stay lit while I drive, so that is why I did not take it to the dealer yet. Does anybody else have this happen on their truck? Thanks!

I think that's normal. I know that my airbag light is usually the last one to go out after starting (but I never timed it). I'll take note next time.

There might even be a blurb in the manual somewhere stating that it is ok even if it takes a really long time to go off. I think I remember reading that - or maybe it's just old age starting to set in...

My airbag light also stays on after the other lights, it's not quite 15 seconds before it turns off.
