Hey guys, was reading up on the deckplate mod and with the advent of 3D printing I got to wondering why, instead of making a hole and possibly affecting emmisions testing, has anyone tried to do an inlet that attaches to the airbox instead similar to this? From my understandng the deckplate mod channels incoming air as the car moves forward right? So would it be safe to assume you could open the airbox, plop this on the top and still get the benefit of the inrushing air without real modification to your box or am I missing something?
Has anyone tried this? Any concerns or issues you ran into? From my understanding some users also just run with the airbox just open but I believe this just sucks in warm engine air, right?
