AIRonBoard Switches problems?

I have 2 aironboard switches that i use for my light. I have problems with both of them staying put in the empty sockets on my 2016 4runner.

Because of them not staying in place, it tends to slide too far back rendering the buttons useless. When i press the switch to turn on the lights, it would not stay "depress" and therefore, the lights would only come on if i continue pressing the switch.

I need to order another switch but unsure if i should be getting the third one from AonB. Any experiences and fixes with this problem? Any recommendations on different brands that look OEM to toyota switches?

Wrap some electrical tape on it so the switch fits tighter.

You could definitely try [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] 's solution.

Did you contact AOB via email and tell them your issue with their switches. The have good customer service and more than likely send you replacements.

Did you try to diagnose what the issue is with the clips on the housing not snapping into place or is there another issue?

I contacted AOB the first time it happened and they send me a replacement. After i got my replacement, I swapped it out and found out that the one i have been using started working again.

Since i have 2 switches, i used both switch for my 2 sets of lights and now this problem comes up on both switches.

I did tried Antman's approach and it does help somewhat but did not alleviate the problem completely.

As of now, i'm getting confused as to what is the cause. It could be that the switch is loose, or it could be that the switch is faulty on the inside, or it could be both.

I might contact AOB later.
