I got my shipping notification! I dropped the transmission yesterday. It's going to be fun putting that back together.

I've never done this on my yoda. How hard is it to drop the trans? Any tricks you can share?

This is the first time for my toyota too. This the second time I've replaced a clutch. I've got the heads off, so everything was really easy to unbolt (starter and bell housing). From what I remember, taking the transmission off is the easy part. Lining the sucker back up while putting it back together is the tricky part!

I've never done this on my yoda. How hard is it to drop the trans? Any tricks you can share?

Use a 3 foot extension with a swivel to get the top 2 tranny bolts out. Besides that, its pretty easy. Having an actually tranny jack helps too, but can be done with a normal floor jack.

Just got my $20 clutch from RA today. I was half expecting to get a no name disc and plate in a cardboard box but, its a real Aisin clutch kit!

Now I just have to find the time to install it.
