Are those the original stripes?
Please, upload a photo of the hood. I'd like to see the stripes in there. I could use your photos as a reference in case I try to make something like that with plastidip or similar someday.

The 40's are awesome, I find myself dragging the diffs less often now. These are bias ply and run on the street at 12 psi, so beadlocks are necessary to run 2-3 psi on the trail so they will grip. The biggest drawback was pretty much losing 5th gear on the highway because of the added weight, because bias ply tires are so heavy. I decided to shed some weight and go ahead and get the Racelines I've wanted for so long. Hopefully it will drive better on the street now, and a motor swap is being planned for later this year.

If you read the thread, you'll see that the stripes are not original.
You can buy the stripe kit, no need to mess with plastidip, which won't look right.

They are SR5 stripes. The originals were badly cracked and faded, so I cleaned them off and replaced them with a vinyl set from James Dean Creations.

I was debating this for a long time but with the front sump oil pickup, it's just too much of a PITA to fit it around my histeer without a body lift.
I have a motor lined up, supposed to pick it up in the spring. It should provide all the power I could want.

I added bumpstops in the rear, because the roll cage bolts to the top of the fenderwell, the tires were hitting there. They barely clear everything.
Just finished reading through the whole thread.... absolutely sexy!! Not sure I'll ever go this crazy with mine but it does have a future as a trail rig so we'll see...
Also, you mentioned re-painting that replacement front fender. What exactly did you use? At some point I've gotta repaint most of my truck and want to do it myself.

I painted the fender with aerosol cans, whatever the black paint code is and then clear.
Do you remember which kinda of paint and clear? I ask because I've worked with duplicolor paint match before and wasnt entirely thrilled. The color was close but the clear was a joke and it took I think 8 layers of color which wasn't enough...

If you want clear in an aerosol.. goto your local auto paint store, or online.. get the Spray Max 2x 3680061. Stuff is awesome, hardener is built into the can. Downside is you have to use it within 48hrs after activating.
