AKYota Trailer Build

So I picked up a trailer for $300, to start my Camping Trailer. At first I thought it was an old M100, but that didn't match up so I thought it a Bantam TC-3.... Nope. Emailed the Bantam website and they said it could be a Sterling Trailer. For all I know it's an old Sears and Roebuck Trailer.

First to identify everything that should be worked on... Yep, pretty much everything.

I count 7 leafs on it. Six lug hubs which needs work. I plan on getting new leafs and axle/hubs.

Jack doesn't work. Very old hitch and the tongue has been rebuilt once already.

Tailgate works, but pretty bent up.

First thing I did was cut off everything I didn't need to give me a solid base to start with. Took the pressure washer to it get as much paint off of it as possible.

Then I welded up all the bolt holes that was in the tub.

Picked up some steel and started to work on the sides some. I wanted to have it high enough so I can get a ARB (or other) fridge into it so it would be an inside height of 22".

This gap is where I'll have a door into the side and the cooler \ fridge will slide out on rails.

I have enough steel left over to finish the railing but I have to get ready to leave for work.

I plan on cutting the door off and all it's hardware and making a new one. I'll have it recessed even with the back of the trailer secured with bullet hinges swinging out to the side.
