The dealer may be able to program your keyless entry to not beep.
By the rear door do you mean the hatch at the back? No sounds coming from mine. As soon as I shut it I can hear the little electric motor tightening up the door. Other than that noise the rear hatch doesn't make a peep.

Had the same deal with the rear hatch. Toyota fixed by adjusting travel or hatch. But, I think with some door slamming it will probably come back. I posted a while back at

Please call this into toyota, I did and they told me with enough calls they'll put out a service bulletin on it and dealers will learn how to fix/replace defective part.
As for the chirp, my 96 4runner came with an alarm with instructions that allowed the owner to re-program the alarm for silence etc. Why toyoto wants us to visit the dealer to make the mod is beyond me. I avoid the dealer as much as I to the doctor!
