Alarm/Car Starter

Hey guys, my baby just recently got boken into and want to buy a good alarm for my truck. I was wondering what is the best one on the market and for a good price including installed?

I know best buy was trying to sell me the Compustar 2W8000FMASF for $499.99 + a couple of relays which would add up to about $800 or more?

I know I could get it for cheaper but does anyone have any recommendations on where to find them?

What about including installation how much?

please reply back asap, i don't need anything else stolen from my truck as i need to start buying all the electronics back for her.

I just found a place that can do starters/radios/tints as such. I just got a 1way starter put onto my 4R. They are scarborough. Good guys. Let me know if you are still looking.

I'll be honest,

When I used to have my Sentra SER Spec-V, I only used the Compustar brand. However, there's a new one called Nustar which is the same company, but it's $100 cheaper.

They used the same kind of technology and the only problem with our Generation is there are so much add-on parts that needs to be added to the system before it works properly.

With my 2006 Sport, I needed to add $120.00 of additional parts which brings a total of $650+.

I don't think it's worth it to install a car starter. I actually have two keys. When I start the truck, I lock the car with the other key and leave it running. That's basically my loop pole.

I recently installed the Viper 5901 on my 2008 4Runner and had to get the immobilizer. Since I work at the automotive store, I got the starter and immobilizer for $450. Paid $100 to get it installed at a shop in Etobicoke. I've been really happy with it!!
