Alaska Bound - '03 4Runner

Been a lurker for a few years, but I thought I'd share these now. Last summer I drove my '03 4Runner to Alaska and back, putting on nearly 16 300 kilometers (10 100 miles) in the process. The 4Runner was the perfect travel companion - it did what I wanted and didn't complain.

The picture with the tarp is the only one taken in Alaska, the rest were in British Columbia. Image quality isn't great since I was using film back then and my scanner is junk, but what the hell...

Later on the snow bank was at least twice that height, but the fog was so thick and the mining road narrow that I wasn't about to stop.

And for something a little different, here's my more recent purchase, an '06 Mazda3:

Very nice pics Kenn.

The 4th pic is really nice, very good exposure, although you should have backed up a bit and gotten the whole truck in the pic. Also, it looks like it is shot using a long-time exposure.

The snow and fog pic is awesome!
If you're ever in the vicinity of Stewart, BC and Hyder, AK, that pic is from a road I highly recommend you take. The waterfall picture is on that same road, but 30km earlier. That was one of the neatest and most scenic drives I've ever had...

The next big road trip I have in my mind is the Pan-American Highway, which'll take me all the way down to Chile and Argentina. Probably won't be the same 4Runner, but it will be a 4Runner nonetheless whenever the year comes that I make the drive...

Nice road trip....wow ! Nice pic in the snow/fog.

My Uncle has lived up there for years and would'nt trade it for anything.

Nice pics, I just got back from a cruise to Alaska, very beautiful country up there. I know I just saw a small bit of it.
