Alea Napa Leather Install

I do like the Nuluxe leather, but I really missed my 2018 Limited perforated seats.

The black Pro seats get hot and I had pools of sweat on the bottom seat cushion after a long ride with the windows down (I don't always want to use the AC).

Fortunately there are still shops around that do this type of work. Not everyone lives in SoCal with Katskinz mobile dealers. I took my 2009 Tacoma to Classic Soft Trim in McKees Rocks in Pittsburgh to get perforated leather seat covers installed. Couldn't be happier with the results.

Fast forward a decade+ and they are still in business. In fact, the guy that did my 2009 Taco did my 2024 4R. He has 30+ years there and is also joined with another guy (Jason) with over 20 years. They did my front/rear seats in about 4 hours. Couldn't be happier with the results.

I went with Napa perforated center cut in Amaretto and Verona Ebony for the wrap. We matched the TRD red stitching as well. Kept the OEM TRD head rests. The Ebony and TRD red stitching was spot on with the seats.

The Napa leather is a different grain in appearance and feel. I took their advice and went with the Verona leather for the high traffic areas. Basically the parts of the seat where high traffic hits getting in and out of the truck. The pics don't show it, but the Napa is soft with a plain grain. Whereas the verona is soft but has a very distinguished grain.

Seats are better than my 2018 Limited and more soft than the wife's GX460 Nuluxe seats.

How much for the two front seats?

Not sure what they would charge for just the front seats. My total was 1800 and the rear seats are more involved than the fronts.

Seats look great, I loved the perforated look. Does this shop do custom upholstery and leather? And were these already manufactured or did they actually make the covers? Thanks

Not sure about upholstery, but they did have an older BMW Z3 getting a new cloth top done while I was there. Actually cutting a sunroof into a Nissan rogue (didn't realize they still do that!).

Alea Leather is their main source for the seat covers. They do Katskinz too, but they said in their opinion Alea has nicer quality. Alea has a decent website to show the different colors, materials and patterns available. They also have all the samples so you can see and feel before putting your order in. You can go nuts with the different patterns, stitching, colors... Paula (she runs the office) picked the colors out after I was going back-n-forth with different ideas. She also tied in the black side bolsters and red stitching to have it flow into the door panels. Matches the doors perfectly and the headrests are the OEM ones. Can't tell the difference between the black headrest and the black leather on the seats.
