Thats an interesting point, from pics I've seen with this tire and aftermarket wheels i thought the same. Can you confirm how wide they ride on your wheels? They certainly look wider than the 10.2" sectional width specification.

Not sure what you mean? If you can further explain or tell me what measurement I can try to get that for you.

Ugh, the OK red dirt is such a mess. Thanks man! Big game coming up tomorrow night, fingers crossed it goes better than the last meeting.
 
Awesome thread Alex. I am considering the second light bar you added to the GOBI rack. I have the 40" install mount kit for the stealth rack. You mentioned that the bar was a bit too tight to use the mounts. How did you end up mounting? Thanks in advance...

I just ended up using a dremel to modify the brackets a bit so they could extend out further on the rack.
 
Did Gobi supply you with that front 40" light bar bracket? I didn't get one.. maybe bc I have the stealth?

Put some 1.25" spacers on and lifted the front back up about a half an inch a few weeks ago. Definitely gives it a more aggressive look.

Rubbing has increased quite a bit with the spacers even after raising the front back up. Probably add another 1/4" up front then may need to do some trimming.

I have quite a similar setup & my next tires will definitely be the 255/80 S/T max. I'm not surprised you put some spacers because those 255's are so much more narrow than basically any other 33" tire out there. I don't mind the look of the tall narrow track provided by your setup without spacers. It's a nice & functional change from the wide & pokey setups most people run. I'm not planning on doing any spacers once I do the 255/80's. You might find this little graph interesting that I sketched up the other day. It shows how the 255's are such a great bang for your buck.

Hey Alex,
I was looking at the getting the same lift and tires as you, but only going up about 2". Do you think the tires would still clear with an inch less lift than what you have front and rear?

I think you might be OK. Depends on the wheel offset and alignment as well. Some guys here claim they clear with 255/80/17 at stock height. Whereas I'm at 3" on my BOSS kit and still rub with SPC UCAs and +4 caster. But I also have different offsets than stock wheels along with 1" spacers. So really YMMV.

Since your have the same type of soil that I have here, what's your opinion about their traction in clay/mud?
