Alignment ? for those with DS 2.5/1.5 lifts.

I had my 08 Aligned after my Daystar Lift install, (Topout spacer only) and they were not able to get my Caster back to specs but were able to get them within .2 Degrees of each other. 2.4 Degrees Lt 7 2.2 Degrees Rt. The spec is 2.5 - 4.0 Degrees. So in reality the front wheels are moved slightly back from the "ideal" or spec location. They told me not to worry since they were very close to each other, and the real problem would be if the were far apart.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

Yes. I had the identical issue with castor. Also, the steering wheel was not 100% dead-on center when they were finished. I chalked it up to my dealership being incompetent. The good news is that I have had no issues and the tire wear should be normal. I think the dealership should disclose that their alignment equipment is not able to handle lifts before they take your $100. I went back and complained and it got me no were so I am switching dealerships after going to the same place for years.

Did a dealer do the alignment ??

Take it to a speciality shop like a frame and axle place . They will put it dead on to where a dealer does not . As long as it falls between the mfg. wide spectrum they don't care.

It doesnt seem far enough out to worry and if they are back more then you will rub less and they will look more centered. Mine is at 2.9 and 2.7 and the wheels look like they are far forward rather than centered but they didnt seem to have too much trouble to get them within spec.

The shop I had do it does not specialize in lifts or 4x4s, but the owners/guys doing the work are autocross guys and have the best alignment machine you can get. They do specialize in setups with aftermarket supension mods.

My Steering wheel is centered.

Camber Specs .06 to -0.9
Caster Specs 4.0 to 2.5
Toe Specs -0.04 to 0.13
Total Toe specs -0.08 to 0.25
Steer ahead spec -0.05 to 0.05

Overall I think they lined it up well from side to side. I drove it over 200 miles yesterday and it does not pull in any direction.
