Alignment on 06 4R

Just curious you guys. I know this car is a tough bad boy, but the other day I accidentally ran over a big pothole, about 15mph, so I'm getting a little worried.

Right after it happened, maybe I got paranoid about it. I went to the dealer and had one of the guys test drive with me. Apparently it's "normal" to get a little swerve to the right side after you let go of the steering wheel for more than 5 seconds or so. The service advisor said it's a "factory design"... Designed for those who fall asleep on the wheel, and instead of having the car veer towards oncoming traffic, they have the car veer a little to the right..

Is he correct or is he just tryin to make me go away? But then again, why would he want me to go away when he's discouraging me from a $150 alignment job. :bash:

He even said that mine runs just like new (at 18k miles) and that it's in perfect running shape. :biggrin2:

Find a shop like WheelWorks. I don't know if they still do it, but before if they alignment is within factory specs and they don't do anything, you don't pay.

I think Firestore, for $170, might need a coupon though offers a lifetime warranty on the alignment. I heard of some drifters taking advantage of it by having them tweak the alignment before the head to the track and change it back when their done.

Its usually the crown in the center of the road (for rain run off) that cause you to veer to the right --- NOT a factory setting! If it does it on flat 4 or 6 lane highway or big parking lot then you need an alignment! Keep an eye on tire ware if it looks like its wearing more on one sid of tire than the other --- then alignment is probsbly off.
