so After putting on my lift and new tires I decided to take the 4runner for an alignment. I did the install myself and everything went smooth. While on jack stands there is no play in the wheels. There is no noise from my front end. The vehicle drives straight, but with new tires and lift I knew i needed an alignment.
I took the 4runner to Pepboys for the alignment (mistake.) After waiting about an hour the lady behind the desk said that I needed a new wheel bearing and hub assembly. When asked why she had to ask the tech who did not give me an answer just the typical "it needs to be replaced." I told them to bring my car out and I did not want their service after she quoted me over $700 without the alignment for the job. She proceeded to tell me that i needed to pay $22 for suspension inspection. I did not make too much of a fuss with them and just paid for the service. Needless to say I will not be going back to that place.
