All Metal Radiator

If the only all-metal radiator that fits doesn't have a transmission cooler, exactly what problem is being solved by using it? As far as I've ever heard, the stock Toyota radiator is pretty darned good except some people believe when it gets old it sometimes allows coolant into the transmission cooler. So, why not cap off the stock transmission line fittings and use an external cooler instead of buying a new radiator that will likewise require an external cooler?
Good point. I have thought about going this direction too. Does capping the trans lines eliminate water from leaking to the ground? I am not completely clear on this.

Ultimately, I want an all aluminium radiator that is high quality and that has a trans cooler built in that is extremely reliable. What I really want is a high quality racing radiator, and I am willing to convert to electric fan if necessary to fit it. I am just hoping that someone has done this already and can provide all the info needed. I think this forum is in desperate need of a "how to" on this.
 
No problem being solved other than most all aluminum radiators have a lot better cooling efficiency which is good when super charged and or towing up the pass.
I think the jury is out on whether or not aluminum radiator cores work better than copper. I mess around with street rods and the most common issue is getting proper cooling for modern high hp engines installed in old cars with inadequate air flow. Some people claim aluminum radiators transfer heat better, but there's not a lot of support for that view. Even though aluminum radiators are available for street rods at a fraction of the cost of a name brand copper, most of us pay the premium.

I have built quite a few turbo 4 cylinders with 4" intercooler cores installed right in front of the radiator. I know exactly what your talking about. Airflow is the most important factor for keeping the radiator cool. Most of the aluminum race cores will promote the radiator having a 20% better cooling efficiency but that could be the core size and design more than the material.
