All Seasons vs. All Weather

My Dealer (two hour drive from me) tells me that my new 4runner Limited comes with P245/60 107H tires on it but couldn't tell what type - all-season, all terrain or whatever. Where I live in Northern Ontario I drive in snow 5/6 months of the year on roads plowed and not plowed. Problem is I don't want 2 sets of tires - summer/winter and thought an All Weather would be the answer. I have looked at the websites of 5 different tire makers and can't find one that makes an All Weather tire for 20" rims. 17", 18" yes but not 20". Does anyone have any suggestions that doesn't entail having to buy ($$$) smaller rims. Any comments/thoughts appreciated. TIA

UPDATE

The Canadian Toyota website is very slim compared to the Toyota USA website which is much more detailed. I checked it instead of the Canuck site and found out that the T4R Limited apparently comes with M+S tires which is perfect for my needs. Can anybody in Canada with a 2020 Limited 4Runner verify this for me. TIA

I am not sure about the 2020 tires, but the factory 20's that came on my 2017 are less than impressive in the winter.

thanks for the reply supawabb that info is good to know. I'm hoping the 2020 Limited tires do have Mud+Snow ratings as it helps keep my insurance premiums down plus a lot of convenience.

Usually the limited comes with an all season highway tire like a BS dueler or Michellin defender. Some have the M+S rating but not really what you want for up there or anywhere that gets more than just a dusting of snow..
Go online to tirerack or discounttire and search by size 245-60-20, there are a couple more aggressive options including AT and winter tires with the 3ps symbol

I have a 18 Limited and I’m on the stock Yokohama’s . M+S tires are no good in the snow. If you get tons of snow in ON, the best way is to run dedicated snow tires.

Even though Cooper quit manufacturing them, the Discoverer A/Tw tire is designed to be an all-year, all-terrain, winter-rated tire. I'm still on my original set that I had the dealer install at 1 mile (before I took delivery). The LT/Load E tires are rated for 50,000 miles, but I have a bit more than that on them now and have half the tread left. They have a high-silica content to the rubber, and lots of sipping. I've been very impressed with them, and am really disappointed Cooper didn't continue making them.

You can still find them online at good prices (usually under $200 for the Load E). The only problem is that if one is punctured/damaged and needs replacing, you may not be able to find a new one -- or a set of tires -- to purchase.

Living in Northern Ontario you really should be running a dedicated winter tire. It's not a big deal to switch (or have them switched) twice a year and they last twice as long that way so the added expense really does even out. If I were in your position I'd pick up a set of 17" steelies (the ones from the FJ cruiser will fit) and some Nokian Hakkapeliittas.

Living up north you really are not going to enjoy driving anything with a rating less than 3PMSF. M+S would be decent for the mid Atlantic region.

Better yet put a set of snows on cheap steelies and call it a day.

My winters are the Goodyear ultra grip ice wrt. In snow, whether it's 2, 4. 8 or 16 inches deep... you drive on through with ease. If there is a hard crust, and you break through and are hung up, that's a different story.

On Ice... well lets say they are not great on polished ice, but I have had Blizzaks, and the Nokian Hakkapeliitta's as well and on ice they were no better. In snow, all three were the same.
