All Terrains

i am in need of all terrains, im about to put a daystar 2.5/1.5 on my 2005 sr5 and cant decide on which tires i want, i had Terra Grapplers on my z71 tahoe but they dont look too aggressive for what they cost and i didnt want to get trail graplers cause they are too much like a mud tire, any ideas?

Alot of people like the Goodyear Duratrac, they are all terrain, but look even more aggressive..

you could try the new BF goodrich Rugged Terrain, they look pretty nice and the price is decent.

Cooper tire makes a a/t that's not bad, but bang for buck rugged terrain

If you want a really good and aggressive AT that is also going to be durable offroad, I like the Cooper S/T MAXX. Good cross between a AT and MT and while the Duratracs look pretty good, I have seen some reviews about the sidewall not being the most durable if you're really wheeling it.

I'm a fan of Firestone Destination A/T's. I'll be putting these on my runner when it needs new tires. I had them on my 3rd gen runner and loved them. Not as aggressive looking as the BFG A/T but if you check tirerack the Firestones are cheaper and got better reviews.

I checked out the Cooper AT but I didn't see a price, those firestones look good but it reminds me of a street tire but does any one know how the Cooper tires hold up?

See my thread on the Kelly Safari TSR. They're quieter than the BFG A/T, cheaper, and I love them so far. I'm up to about 6k miles on them... taken them on road trips, off-road, and everywhere in between. They have larger voids in the tread than the Duratrac and are cheaper by about $50/tire. The only limitation is they come in limited sizes; tirebuyer has them cheapest. You can't even tell they have wear after 6k miles.

I have Toyo Open Country M/T's on my rig because they fit my needs best. But if I was using it more for the highway as you are intending, I would highly consider the Cooper ST Maxx tires. Goodyear DuraTracs are also excellent tires.

I wouldn't do the discover ST. Tehy're loud no matter what anyone says on the road. Maybe not a buckshot or swamper, but loud for how agressive they are. The cooper AT may be better, but looks too tame to me.
