My 04 4 Runner SE, has about 99 K now, it is certified preowned until 100K, nothing wrong with the truck, just wondering if someone has been in this situation, what to do if I should take in to the dealer and tell them to check the whole truck before it his 100 K. My warranty is only Engine and Power train. Just wanted to get my money worth before I hit 100 K.

Thanks,

I bought my 03 Limited 4x4 V8 at 101,000. A service sticker under the hood indicated that the timing belts had been changed at 96,000 (not really an issue if you have the V6 since it has a timing chain). I now have 135,000 miles and it runs like it's new, doesn't go through oil, no creaks, clunks, etc. like some high mileage vehicles get. If you can get it checked without costing anything, go for it.

If there's nothing wrong, there's nothing you can do. 100K is like safe haven and any miles after that the stealerships would be happy to take your money.

I've owned 2 Toyotas over 200,000 miles, 2 over 175,000 miles, 1 over 150,000 miles plus my current '08 (19,000). Other than oil changes, air filter changes, the occasional drive shaft lube and other fluid changes, just drive them. None of my vehicles used oil or had any problems when I sold 4 of them. Besides my '08 T4R, my son is driving the '97 Camry with 176,000 miles and I KNOW he hasn't been treating her well.

No Worries, 100k on TR4 in fine. Your warranty covers powertrain and the powertrains are real strong. A lot of what they (dealers) do as far as diag is ck engine lights or other dash lights that throws a codes when there r probs. No light then no code no diag no problem. Your all good. I don't want to tell you don't bring it in becasue only you can do whats best for you my opinion is no worries.
