Alpine IVA-W200 Dash Appearance

I just recently purchased my very first 4runner, toyota for that matter. A white 2006 V8 Sport with a moon roof, spoiler, leather upgrade. I just had the front windows tinted, JL Speakers, Alpine IVA-W200 and Hornet 727T alarm system installed.

I had them get the alpine as flush as they thought was possible (still sticks out a little), but the plastic inserts around the deck are just flimsy inserts and they are sunken in. Are there other dash kits available? I would like the system to look like its meant to be there, right now it looks like there are two holes to the left and right.

If you have the alpine iva-w200, can you post pictures of your install so I can see whats possible?

Thanks
Kelly

Any decent car audio shop should be able to make anything look like its stock... If it doesn't look like you want it to tell them to try again, I don't pay to have something professionally done just to have it not come out the way I wanted it too. Trust me they can make it work.

I had the IVA-W200 in my 4R for about 2 weeks and couldn't stand how it looked. I finally returned it and went for an Eclipse unit instead, they look much more stock.

You may want to try to use the Metra 2DIN brackets instead of the Scoshe ones. The Metra ones fit a little better, and don't leave as much of a gap on the sides.

I'm still waiting for mi IVA-w200 to arrive. What mounting bracket did you use? My unit is being sent with a Scoche bracket. I'll post some pics once I install it. That however won't be untill next month some time.

Do you have any pics of your install so that I could get an idea of what to expect?

I used the Scoshe brackets. Sorry, I don't have any pics.

I think the problem is that Alpine expects the trim ring to cover the space on the sides, however, on the 4R the trim ring is too wide to fit. It's impossible to trim the trim ring since it's not a solid piece of plastic.
