I puss out a few feet from the edge. I'm not so worried about the edge, as the integrity of the rock holding its weight and that of the vehicle.

Sounds reasonable considering it's a 1500 ft drop. I was 4 feet away from the edge and that was it for me. I didn't need to pull any further forward.

That's about as far as I got. I could have had somebody spot me a little farther forward, but I already had my balls crawling up my throat so I figured I was far enough.

I was SURE it was haha. I opened the picture up in light room and was playing with the contrast, exposure, clarity, all that sort of stuff and the ONLY noise in the whole picture is around the tires. Seemed weird!

I am far too much a baby to try that... I get scared driving off the curb in front of my place =p

You're right, the original photo does look a little funny! Must just be the angle it was taken at? And it's hard to believe that someone would get that close. The tire is definitely the focal point of the photo, maybe that messes with everyone's head? Maybe something with the tread pattern makes it look flat on the bottom? I dunno.

Hahaha yeah! I had my girlfriend spot me last time we went. She kept saying, "yeah you can keep coming!" I'm like, "uhhhh you sure? It doesn't look like it from here." "Yeah you got at least a couple more feet!" "Uhhh yeah I think we're good!"
