Hidey Ho gentlemen!
It's been forever since I've posted on here and have gotten to know a few of you when I was on my hunt about 3 months ago for my Runner. I really appreciate all the help, and I've had my '09 Blizzard Pearl Urban Runner since October! I've barely driven it since I work out of town and just leave it at home in the garage to keep the miles down from the daily communte.
Hopefully now, I can give back to the community to help with anything I can.
I'm about to be doing my big stereo install, but I need to start from the top...
-Tomorrow is the H.O. alternator install, and my biggest concern is if it can be removed from the bottom rather than from the top? That route "looks" to be the least painful.
-Secondly, the serpintine belt that I am going to need "may" need to be roughly 0.5" shorter than the OEM belt to compensate for the slightly smaller pulley that is on my H.O. alternator. Does anyone know exactly how long our belts are? I've been told by AutoZone that they are 83.5", but just want to double check; this is a V6...
-Thirdly, if ANYONE has any input at all about installing an aftermarket double din in the Urban Runner I would GREATLY appreiciate it! I'm really worried about the factory trim piece around headunit not fitting, but it measures out to perfect specs. This guy says otherwise, and also that there is no harness that is made for the Urban Runner. Here is the thread:
