That really is a good price if it lasts. You’ll pay around that amount for the 144 GM Alt unless it comes from a junk yard and it still needs adapted to the Toyota wiring. The factory alt is only capable of pushing just a hair over 40a at 600rpm. Headlights, brake lights and fan speed on speed 3 exceeds that without adding anything extra.

I don't think this is the exact one that I have, but it's been going strong just fine for more than 4 years so far, YMMV.

FWIW , Did the big three and when stock alt went out I replaced it with the MEAN GREEN high out put its a tight fit.Its been three yrs I think its 140 amps. they have better bearings and bla bla bla they claim its the last alt you will buy. WWW. MEAN GREEN.COM.
