Am I Getting "the business"??

Hi Folks,
I'm trying to purchase a 2006 Limited V8. Here's the problem:
If I order Nav, the dealer says I can't get a 6-disc CD changer. Can't even get the one listed on the website as an add-on mounted in the console or in the back.

OK, so I settle for no Nav but get the upgraded JBL with the changer in the dash. However, they say if you don't get Nav, you can't get XREAS.

Has anyone come across this configuration issue?

Please advise asap.

They are right about the CD changer. If you get NAV, you cannot get a multi disc changer with it. Now, the NAV may have an aux input in the back that will allow you to add one after the fact, but you cannot get it shipped with those two together.

As for X-REAS...that is BS. There is not one option on the 06 4Runner that makes X-REAS unavailable. It sounds like the dealer is giving you the run around to try & move a truck he has in inventory instead of searching for exactly what you want.

I recently had to special order a new 06 T4R Limited V8 4WD to get the exact configuration & color that I wanted. They could not find what I wanted & I was not going to settle for anything I did not want.

Yes, you CAN get both NAV and the 6 Disk CD Changer.

That is the configuration I currently have.

And I also have X-REAS as well.

Your are being lied to. The dealer may not be able to locate one so he's trying to get you to settle for less.

Was the CD changer installed at the port? According to everything I have read from Toyota, they will not install a changer with the navigation system. But I know that usually there are port options that are normally not available from the factory.

They may have had the CD changer available with the NAV in the 2005 model but in the 2006, most are saying no. I did have one dealer say that they could do it. But, I'll bet as we got closer to the deal, they would have stumbled on the restriction.

All my research - websites, brochures, etc., indicate that XREAS is not restricted in any option combination on a Limited. I feel cheated because I left a deposit on Saturday. I'll be calling and kicking up some dust in the morning....

You don't have to get Nav to get XREAS. I test drove a Limited with the premium JBL radio that had XREAS. In my region, you cannot get the rear air suspension without getting the nav.
