I have a '98 SR5 2WD, and I still have the stock tires on it. I am wanting to upsize/upgradeto either 265/70-16 or 265/75-16(-most common 2 i've seen). Would they(either or both?) have enough room, without a lift? I'm new to the modification processes(ha) so any additional info on "lift's" as well would be appreciated(whether for future reference or just good FYI). Thanks!

Unless your Runner was purchased with 14 inch rims, the 265/70/R16 is the stock size and would obviously fit. The other size, 265/75/R16, is an inch wider in diameter giving you a 0.5 inch increase in clearance. Neither size should require a lift to fit underneath.
Even if you have the smaller stock rims, I doubt you'd have a problem upsizing to 16 inch rims, the wheel well dimensions are the same for both.
I drive on 285/75/R16 tires and needed a 3" lift to fit them ..... and they still rub a little.

Yes i have the 16in. with 225 stock tires. i'm just tryin to decide if i want to get 265/70's or 265/75's. any opinions on these would be greatly appreciated. The slight decrease in performance i realize. So anyone with experience in changing to either size would be great. Thanks!
