+1 for V-LEDS. They're stuff is on the pricey side, but you definitely get high quality LEDS from them. Converted my interior and most of my exterior bulbs to LED and loving it...just gonna have to fix the hyperflash soon.

I'll pull my dash apart today, and take the bulb out!
See if I can find out exactly what type it is.

The ashtray has a tiny bulb!

Think I'll give a Toyota dealership a call, and see if they know the part/bulb type.
Otherwise, I'll head into a auto parts store and see if I can figure out the bulb type.

They have similar things on eBay for cheaper. I used 48LED panels for the mid and rear dome. I don't like blinding light for the map light so left them alone. The panels come with the adapter to run on the tube type bulb sockets.

Yep! You are right. You wouldn't think it'd fit, but the bases are the same size.

Just grabbed my bag of size 74 LEDs (same size as the glove box), and it fit.
Toyota has a green plastic "filter" in there from the factory, causing the light output to be green. It was in there really good, couldn't pry it out. So I just drilled it out.
Good outcome! Nice to have the ashtray lit up now.

Yeah. Ridiculously cheap. Same bulb for the glove box light as well.
They aren't the brightest thing ever (as it's only one LED), but it does the trick.

yea i have LEDs in my interior already but the ones i have seem to come loose so sometimes it flickers. its not a huge deal but a pain in the ass especially when i try to play with the settings of the temp controls and its night time. as of right now, my temp area and " P R N D 1 2" are not functional because everytime I put it back, it jimmies loose in a week..so i want to make sure these fit better. do you have a picture of these in your gauges? i need to replace my gauge ones as well. but those havent come loose yet! thanks!

I wouldn't recommend these cheap ones in the gauges. They have a tendency, like you said, to become loose. I'm glad they include 10 in the pack, as every other the connectors don't line up right. Even if I try to bend them and get them in place. Once I find one that works, I move it around to make sure it's not going to flicker in and out on me.

You'd want something like these, I think: T5 286 74 SMD 2-LED Wedge Dashboard White Light Bulb | eBay

Where there's no chance of it coming loose. More expensive though. :-/
But they do have 2 LEDs, so brighter.

The only problem with this is that in a few months the ebay links will be no good. It's okay though as long as we maintain lists of the LED types we can continue to order them haha.

True! Here's a list of them, that you can simply just copy and paste into eBay to find:

Dome Lights = Panel 48 SMD LED
Map Lights = Panel 12 SMD LED
Glove Box/Ashtray = 74 SMD LED
License Plate = T10 SMD LED

Of course, you don't have to go with the SMD versions of LEDs, but from my experience, they seem to give better light output.

It wasn't that bad actually.
If I remember correctly, it was only a week and a half maybe.

Interior LED's

I switched out all of my interior bulbs (and license plate bulbs) with LED, and can tell you these won't be bright enough. I actually purchased these types first, and had to go brighter in the end.

Here's what I ordered for my 4runner, and some photos to go along with it:

Hate to ask but can you post some pics of how you mounted your Dome LED's? I like the look you got & the price is unbeatable but the set up would have to be different from what was shown in the tutorial.
