did these require any kind of modification? they look quite large any cutting?

Sorry for digging up an old thread but doesnt anyone know what lights I should get from ebay for the interior doors? I got the map, vanity, and both dome lights.

Looks like ebay has a set of bulbs for the map lights, courtesy lights, back seat and cargo area for about $20 delivered. 5 year warranty too. I'll post if they're any good.

6 Piece White LED Interior Lights Package SMD Bulbs Toyota 4Runner 96 02 | eBay

So far so good. These things are BRIGHT and come with multiple different installation attachments so I'm guessing it's a universal kit. My only complaint so far is that one of them was a dud, but I only requested an exchange about an hour ago and they brag a 5 year warranty so I should be good to go. Fast shipping too...I'm thinking about getting some xenon HID's from them too. I'll post if those are any good :thumb3:

Where do the "courtesy lights" go?

Haven't quite figured that out yet, but I'm fairly certain they are license plate lights. Or, if one was so inclined, you could take a set of light sockets from the tailgate of a wrecked 4runner and make some courtesy lights. I'm debating on trying this out myself and if it works I'll do a write up on it.

That would be awesome. I drive my moms 4th gen occasionally, and the courtesy lights are nice to have.

I told you guys a looooong time ago, these are DIRT cheap on Tmart: Thousands of Products, Manufacturer Price, Free Shipping Worldwide, shipping is free , it just takes about 2-3 weeks from Singapore, if from the US warehouse its less time, :boxer::boxer:

here go waste some time looking through this link and find other cool cheap stuff,

Disclaimer: I am not a marketing rep for tmart, just passing on the link i got my OBD2 reader for $15 on that site as well..

happy hunting :P

Alright, last post on this one. They replaced the defective bulb in a timely fashion AND they have a real, US based phone number! You can get a live person which is huge in my opinion. I highly recommend these bulbs and the company highly.
