I had started an earlier thread on this and stated I would post if a solution was found. Many thanks to scangauge service, wfo9 and e60ral for their help. For those of you that did not see the other thread, I have a passenger that often wants to know the temperature outside and obviously cannot see the driver display. Scangauge service got back to me with an Xgauge code after giving them hints from the above named board members that works on my 2017 Limited to display the outside air temp. It is apparently not the same sensor as the one that is in front of the driver but after a very reasonable bit of time shows the same temp within 1 degree F. If your ScangaugeII does not work with the standard ambient air temp display, plug this into an Xgauge and see if it will work for you also.

This does heat soak after parking but usually is very close after about five minutes of driving which is good enough for my use. Thanks again to all that helped.
