Yep, I noticed when I first saw that movie in the theater that most of the cars were Toyotas. I even noticed the 4th gen 4Runner and thinking "nice!", and this was before I'd even considered buying one.
I've actually noticed quite a few movies where the majority (if not all) cars were Toyota.
There are other movies where other manufacturers are unusually predominant. Take the second Matrix movie for example. You can count over 200 cars and nearly (if not every) car is made by General Motors... especially in the highway scene when all the cars are getting wrecked.
GM donated all of those cars to the producers to get some publicity.
It's not even just car manufacturers now.. I've noticed other companies doing similar things. Go watch "Collateral" (awesome movie, BTW) and see how many times you see an advertisement for Bacardi Silver in the background.. sometimes it's even the only thing in the entire shot!
I was in a movie (Kindergarten Cop) when I was very young (2nd grade) and I remember they did NOT allow us to wear any clothing with brand names or slogans that could be seen on camera, as that could be considered unpaid advertising or if the movie got bad PR, the company could sue because their product was associated with the bad PR.
