Amp and subwoofer newb

Well got scammed a little on a craigslist sub and amp combo. After getting it wired by a shop they told me that the amp was shot and that one of the 10 inch jl audio w0 was showing 80 ohms instead of 8 ohm. The other is supposedly working. I bought both for $150. Now looking to get another amp and should be able to test it cause the other is wired. I'm guessing most amps wire fairly similar. So I'll just unplug the old non working wires to a new one. I'm still looking craigslist but now I get to test it. Now the speaker part. If it's showing 80 ohms what does that mean. Also can I replace it with the w0v2-4ohms when the other working one is a w0-8ohm.

Not sure on the one that's showing 80 ohms, but I know you'll need to have similar subs. You'll need to match the ohm rating and voice coil configuration (the w0 should be a single voice coil). Utilize this wizard to see different configurations. Amps wiring the same, you need a power, ground, and turn on wire. You'll need inputs (RCA, speaker level, or LOC for audio signal). And finally, wires going out to the sub.

Well I went to walmart to get a crappy amp just to test it out. It seems both subs sound good. Idk what that guy was saying bout it being blown. Sounds good to me. Maybe with a better amp it'll sound better too.
