Amp front speakers but not back?

Hello to all audiophile 4R owners. I have some Blaupunkt 6.5" components in the front doors and Blaupunkt 6.75" coax in the back. My Clarion gives them about 21 watts RMS each. But just like the factory JBL, you can barely hear the back door speakers compared to the components.

My question is would it sound okay to amp the components with a 2-channel amp and just leave out amplifying the back doors (since you hardly hear them anyway)? Has anyone done this? And how does it sound?

Absolutely you can do that, actually many car audiophiles don't even run rear speakers. I'd rather have only top of the line front speakers and no rears, then middle of the line front and rears running.

In the past, I have amplified all 4 speakers, but set my fader almost entirely to the front. Sounded great. I'll never spend money on rear speakers again.

Ok cool. Now for My next question. I have an amp for my sub attached to the back of the small rear seat that way I could still fold down the larger one for storage space. So where would be a good place to put a 2-channel amp for the front components? And will the 4R alternator handle both amps?? It will probably only end up being a total of like 600 watts max (both amps combined).

under the seat is fine. itll handle that lil power with no sweat.
