Amp on rear hatch

Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out an out of the way place to mount my amp. It's pretty large (25" x 8" x 2.5"), has anybody tried to mount an amp on the rear hatch?

I'm not so sure I'd mount one on their especially if you carry cargo it could get hit by a shifting load and IMO wouldn't look that good.

:iagree: Plus routing all the wires would be a b1tch. The back of the seat works pretty well and over the driver side wheel well is another option for the cargo area

the shocks cant handle the extra weight as well if you are adventurous try this out

two older rockford fosgate amps linked i put in the headliner of my old chevy truck 12x31x2.5 and about 45 lbs

that amp looks so dangerous above ur head. im sure its secure but id be worried bout it somehow falling and people seeing it really easily...

for that size of an amp, either u build a false floor and make it look sexy, or modify the factory storage compartment, cut and build an amp rack with 1/2inch mdf,3/4 is stronger but might not clear for ur amp, have the amp fins stick out the top to make it look kool.
