Where do you buy amsoil? I've searched and can't find anything local... Thanks in advance guys

There are several in Charlotte NC.
However since your buying I assume about 12+ quarts of ATF which is pricey, you can sign up for the 'Preferred customer" thing which I usually do every other year or so when I have a order bigger than just a few quarts of oil.

I don't think I've even seen it in a store. I did the same thing, found a nearby dealer online from the main Amsoil website, did the 6-mo Preferred Member thing and ordered a bunch of stuff. Quick shipment.
I wish I could find the stuff locally and not pay shipping plus I still get charged some tax.

Amsoil is very good oil, but having to order it from their site, wait for it to come, and how you have to re-apply to be a preferred customer every 6 months got old fast for me. Like I said, they make good oil, but so do plenty of other companies which you can just buy their products at any auto store. Amsoil's business model is a PITA for me, especially when I just need one quart to top something off and don't want to wait a week for it - or mix brands. I just use Valvoline now.

I live in a small town of 23000 and they sell it here. The store is called Bumper To Bumper. Its a chain, so maybe there's one near you

There was even a Post Office here that sold it in the Post Office.
But really is very easy to just order it online and order enough to do 2 oil changes plus 2 quarts extra and for me I am good to go for 2 Years.
That is why I usually just do it every couple of years, and usually some point before that year runs out I order a few of the "Performance Improver" to keep everything clean.

The only way to purchase AMSOIL is either through an independent dealer such as myself, through AMSOIL.com (you'll get assigned to a dealer) or from a retail who's been sponsored through an independent dealer. If you're in need of AMSOIL send me a PM.

Amsoil might be great oil, might even be the best in the world but their marketing scheme is a big scam. Pyramid scheme comes into mind. This is why their oil is so expensive.
You have to pay the seller, and the sellers sponsor, and the sponsor of the sponsor and so on. Ever person in this pyramid is getting a piece.
If they sold it with out all that BS, I would be an advocate for them.
This is my opinion and if you support this sales model, go for it.

Was actually thinking the same thing myself after hearing of their business model a few years back. However, after doing some research and having an open mind I realized it's actually a good business practice. Here's something I found from another AMSOIL dealer on a Corvette Forum:

Oh no way?! Wow! That's awesome, dude. I'm probably going to stick with AMSOIL unless something bad happens. Otherwise, I'm brand loyal. I used the 5W-30 Signature Series 100% Synthetic with a WIX oil filter. When I was pouring it into my engine, it looked like honey. Almost appetizing, even. :hungry:

My local Napa store sells it for when I need something quick, otherwise I do big bulk orders so that I dont run into a jam. Not a scam....just good oil !!
