LOL your right, can we say O.C.D. I figure, my first real truck, so i was going to go all out on it. Sure i had a grand cherokee limited, and a xterra. Oh, not to mention a 84 full size fort bronco with 35's and a 3 inch lift. but this is by far my favorite, and most expensive.

i still have a bottle of tire bleach from back in the days of white walls. i don't know what's in it but it's kinda gooey so the bleach stays on the white and don't drip on to the black.

i bet that isht is good for the environment. It is just annoying. I put the tire shine on after i clean the tires. then the isht from the tire shine gets back onto the letters and turns them black again. Man i wish life was easier. DAMN LETTERS

I've had my 4Runner for 2 months (and 3 days ) and I've only had it washed once. It's due for another one but it's been raining/snowing every other day.

for the tires ive always opted for the greased lightining and a little elbow grease with a stiff brush on the rims tires letters and all. gets em nice and shiney without all that black tire shine stuff slingin up on the fender wells

I bought a gal. of industrial degreaser from Costco about 5 years ago. You have to dilute it so it will last forever. I keep a gal container with the diluted degreaser and fill a quart spray bottle. I spray the wheel and tire, let it set for a couple minutes and then use a fine metal brush (for tires, R&S/AutoZone) for the white letters and a wheel brush for the wheel and tire, then rinse. It works as good as any special (expensive) wheel cleaner, for peanuts.

So, the degreaser wouldn't stip anything off of the rims or anything. Just wondering if it is extra corrosive b/c it is industrial.
