annoying squeak / rattle on passenger side behind glove box?

This is a long shot, but I wanted to see if there were any notorious 3rd gen issues that anyone else has experienced.

Usually only when it's plenty cold outside, I'll start the truck up and it has a pretty loud squeak or rattle that sounds like it just on the other side (closer to engine comp.) of the glove box or passenger air bag. Sort of sounds like a clutch/throwout bearing on a manual that needs to be replaced.

I haven't been able to catch it with the hood up yet to see if it's any single component.

It appears to be coming from the fan/heater. If I turn the HVAC fan up I can hear it, if I leave it off, no sound. Anyone had this?
