Another 4th Gen Brake Post

Anyone ever went from the Sport brakes to the smaller calipers? I have a set of 2016-2017 Tacoma 16" wheels with BFG AT with around 3,000 miles on them I had on my 95 4runner I just sold. I like the wheels and the tires are like new so i almost think i'd rather jsut downsize the calipers and use them as oppose to selling them for what i'm sure would be a good loss..

Don't think I've heard of anyone downsizing brakes to fit wheels on this forum. Can you do it? .. sure. Should you? .. it's your rig.

IMO it's a lot of extra work to fit old equipment you held on to. It doesn't make all that much sense. Depending on what you use your rig for (i.e. towing), the bigger brake package sometimes feels undersized to begin with. I'd just sell them on the local markets and look for a new set up.

check rock auto. the bigger ones are for the v8
