I know there are numerous post about different bilstein shocks but I went on wheelers and was wondering what's the difference between the two 5100s that they have. i know one is for the tundra but what's the main difference between the two?

One isn't showing hardware like new washers and rubbers.
The Bilsteins I ordered for my 4runner didn't come with those parts and I was pithed 'cause mine were rusty/mushed.
Whereas the same model Bilstein shock for my '05 Tundra Did come with hardware.

Edit to add: I bought the 4600 model for both trucks.

I just did my lift and asked them the same question... The ones under 4Runner have the larger bushings already installed and is the reason for the higher price tag.

They aren't valved the same. The Tundra shock should be a little stiffer in addition to having more spring perch adjustment.

The less expensive one is the tacoma shock with three adjustment points and the other is the tundra shock with 5 adjustment points.

Shoot I just assumed you were talking about the rears... I got the Taco struts with the toytec springs and got exactly 3" on the first perch.

Guess it all depends on what you're looking for. I'd suggest calling and asking the pros. I found them to be very informative, spent the time answering all my questions and didn't push any one product on me.

Which was in stark contrast to another company... Rhymes with koi-beck
