Another Gobi Roof Rack Question

Im looking at gobi's roof rack stealth vs ranger. I want a rack that can do a RTT but also carry random gear (cases of water, weird shaped boxes, duffle bags, etc etc) on top which only a basket can do. My concern is the stealth rack is not tall enough as far as a basket goes to keep items inside and strapped down. Vs the Ranger which looks more like a basket rack however now your sacrificing height.

Question: Is the stealth rack more than capable for keeping gear down and stable when properly secured by netting/straps/etc etc or is cargo more likely to shift around and fly off because there really isn't any sidewall protection?

I would like to go for the stealth for its height but I'm worried about cargo stability. Any help or advice is great, thanks.

I have never had issues with the stealth. Have tires on there now with a single strap. I have carried camping gear, recovery gear, and fuel on the roof. No concerns with items shifting.

285s with a 3inch lift with a ranger rack... would that be hitting most parking garages vs the stealth?

I park the vehicle outside so no need for garage height concerns, but when traveling through Las Vegas or any city with a parking garage I'm a little concerned.

I don't have any exact dimensions but I'm assuming its an extra 3-5 inches vs the stealth.... I would like to have the bigger basket but I'm afraid of the added height on a 3inch lifted 4runner on 285s if going into a parking structure with a ranger setup no rise option

BUMP for questions. Looks like the height difference between stealth vs ranger no rise is 1-3/4” difference, which isn’t that significant of a difference. The trade off is I get better sidewall stability for cargo without sacrificing a huge bump in height where I hit a parking garage limit.

Since I’m worried about parking garages the ranger seems like its possible to have it parked in most garages. So I’m curious why the stealth is more popular... is it just looks and low CG?
