another Hella mount

I wanted to mount some hella lights, but didn't want them low by the bumper. So I made a bracket using 1" sq tubing bolted to the two brackets that attach to the bumper.Flanges are welded to the end of the sq tubing. I then welded two 1/4 x 1 1/2 x 8 1/4 barstock. This puts the lights above the bumper. The lights are Hella FF1000. I'm using a Taco switch and have it wired so thet only come on w/the high beams.

The size of the bar holding the lights are on the 1st post. If you need the size of the 1" sq tubing, I'll have to get that when I get home.

flanges are 1/8 inch thick. shaped like the existing bracket on the 4r.The tubing in back is 32" tapering to 31 1/2 in front. I added two extra pieces of tubing in front of the long tubing to help support the barstock that holds the light. Each short piece is 2" long and is 3 1/8" from the edge of the flange. I you look at the 2nd pic carefully, you can see the small tubing under the barstock. Hopefully I explained it well enough for you to understand.

Very nice clean job !!! I like it .

I want a Westin Safari bar with lights on it but am afraid of them being to close to the ground.
